Who runs this site, and who makes the kits
The name on the packing list and the name on this masthead are the same name. Below: the factory, the one certificate that actually covers a joint, and the six things never quoted here.
Who is behind the manifest
Kit Sheet covers one job. Two cable ends, and a join that has to outlast the run. Kit codes, manifests, ordering charts, the sequence, the snagging list — all of it serves that. Nothing is sold from these pages: no stock held, no price quoted, no order taken.
Gala Thermo Shrink Pvt. Ltd. publishes this site. The same firm makes every kit indexed on it — GXLT, GPLT, GXS, GXSS, GPS, GTJ. The people who pack the box wrote the packing list you are reading. Weigh that on any page setting one series against another. It goes at the top here, not only in the footer line.
The business sits inside the Gala Group and trades under the name Gala Shrink Fit. J.P. Gala started it in February 1979, processing PVC in a small Mumbai factory. Bhavesh Gala is Managing Director; he came in during 1993, the year the first export order went to Malaysia. The manufacturer's company profile carries the rest of that record.
Two units make the goods. Palghar in Maharashtra covers heat-shrink tube, moulded shapes, PVC moulding and the cable accessories themselves. Moulded shapes also come out of the Surat SEZ unit in Gujarat. Compounding through to dispatch stays in-house, and so does the testing: one lab for partial discharge, one for high voltage, one for general product work. The manufacturer's joints and terminations type-test sheet holds partial discharge to 5 pC or less at 11, 22 and 33 kV, declared to IEC 60502-4, with CENELEC HD 629.1 named beside it. The rig behind that figure stands on the same premises as the extruder.
Kits reach site through appointed agents, distributors, electric utilities and OEMs, shipping into more than 100 countries. One overseas office, at Monterrey in Mexico. The manufacturer's clientele listing names ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, BHEL, NPCIL and Power Grid Corporation of India. Read that as trading history. It is not a type test, and no page here leans on it as one.
The factory behind the kit codes
The certificates, and the one that is actually about a joint
Each is quoted at the scope it was issued for. On most sites in this trade a list like this is padding, because nothing on it touches the product being described. One line here does.
- CPRI, August 2012. The 33 kV heat-shrink joints and terminations were certified. Joints are this site's entire subject, so unlike every line under it, this one goes into a technical schedule as it stands. What an individual kit sheet is tested to is a separate question, taken apart on the type-test page.
- MSEDCL, 2015 and 2016. Approval to 11 kV first, then across the 11 kV to 33 kV band. PGCIL, the State Electricity Board and EDL have issued approvals alongside. An approval holds at the classes it names and no further.
- Three management systems. Quality is ISO 9001:2015. Environment is ISO 14001:2015. Occupational health is ISO 45001:2018. They govern how a kit is built and boxed, and say nothing about what happens once the tubing is shrunk down on a conductor.
- Two UL files, E328538 and E335936. The first is for the heat-shrink tubes, the second for Busboot and Bustube, which insulate busbar. Look for a joint kit under either and it is not there. Neither is quoted on a kit's behalf here.
- ERDA test report. Awarded against the busbar sleeve. Nothing on a joint manifest is covered by it.
- Export House Certificate and AEO T1 status. Customs standing. It moves a consignment; it settles nothing in a technical schedule.
No source for that
Six things never appear on Kit Sheet, on any page, for one reason: no document held here publishes them. Price. Lead time. Minimum order quantity. Stock position. Shelf life of a pre-expanded kit. How long a jointer takes to make the joint. Cold-shrink, resin and gel go the same way — no datasheet exists for any of the three, so no recovered diameter, no temperature range and no test result for them is printed. A missing figure gets a box like this one rather than an estimate. Ask the manufacturer for anything on that list.

A number here can be wrong. Give the page, the kit code and the sentence, then send whatever contradicts it — a revised datasheet, a type-test report, an approval letter from a utility. Either it is corrected, or both versions stand on the page with the document behind each one named. For a kit rather than a correction: construction, core count, conductor sq mm, system voltage, armoured or not.
